Privacy policy

Sangfroid is built to keep what you tell it private. This policy explains what stays on your phone, the few services the app relies on, and what leaves the device, which is very little.
Your data stays on your device
Everything you log (your check-ins, your streak, the reason you started, your goals, notes and badges) is stored only in a database on this phone. It is never uploaded to us. Sangfroid has no account, no login, and no server holding your personal history. We could not read your entries even if we wanted to.
No account
You use Sangfroid without giving an email, a name we can see, or any sign-up. The first name you type stays on the device. Because there is no account, there is nothing for us to leak, sell, or be compelled to hand over.
The services the app uses
To function, the app connects to a small number of third parties. None of them receive the content of your entries:
- Subscriptions are handled by RevenueCat and by Apple's App Store or Google Play. They process your purchase, not your activity in the app.
- Anonymous, aggregated usage analytics are collected through PostHog, so we can see which screens are used, never by whom. No name, email, or entry content is attached.
- App content such as articles and audio is delivered from Cloudflare, which sees only a request for a file.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising. There is no advertising in Sangfroid.
Deleting your data
Because your data lives on the device, deleting the app removes it. You can also erase everything from Settings, using "Delete all my data", which wipes the local database immediately and cannot be undone.
Age
Sangfroid is intended for adults. You should be at least 18 years old to use it.
Accounts in the future
A future version of Sangfroid may offer an optional account, so you can back up or sync your data across devices. That does not exist today: right now, nothing you log leaves your phone. If we ever add it, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before anything is uploaded.
